Hey there! I am Emily the owner and photographer of Em Photography & Design. What started out as a hobby many years ago has grown into a business I couldn't love more.

I was born and raised on a sugar cane farm in the small town of Franklin, Louisiana. This is where I acquired my love for riding around, drinking coffee, and antique shopping. My high school years flew by and I headed west to McNeese State University where I received my degree in Agriculture Business. While I was there I met a group of friends whom I wasn't ready to say good bye to just yet, so after graduating I took a few graphic design classes to get a little bit more of the college experience. I loved the classes and found myself returning home to open my very own photography and graphic design business.

Growing up on a family farm gave me the opportunity to learn and appreciate all forms of agriculture whether it's raising animals or a crop. Instead of spending hours on end with my dad on our sugar cane farm and pig barn, I now find myself in the passenger seat of my sweet hardworking boyfriend's truck where I have learned about farming rice, beans, crawfish, and of course sugar cane. This is where I love to spend majority of my time when I am not working, or I bring my work right along with me. 
I absolutely love being outside, so if you are up for farm fields, open pastures, and wooded areas I am definitely the photographer for you.
